Entering Sacred Space

The Cottage is maintained as a sacred space. I ask that there be no smoking anywhere on the property. Similarly, drugs and alcohol are prohibited. Only service animals are allowed. (note: there are four wide upward stairs with railing to enter the Cottage and an open descending staircase to access the Ceramics Studio. Similarly, there is a significant step into the garden bathtub that may prove challenging for those with limited mobility).

Free WiFi is provided but I encourage its limited use in order to support your release from societal demands and distractions.

The gardens at A New EverAfter are ideal for stillness, prayer, and plein air painting. Retreatants can also take advantage of the recreational activities within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

What Others Are Saying

“I believe that this is Bethany’s gift, she sees what we don’t see in ourselves and guides us there so gently that once you catch a glimpse you are compelled to move closer. It's as if her very being provides a loving, secure and inviting space to explore who you are and what you are called to do.

-Sharon, Shaker Heights, Ohio

Through active and reflective listening, Bethany guides you to move ever forward on your journey of the spirit, all the while trusting that you will go deeper toward meaning and purpose. Skilled in many spiritual modalities, Bethany is personally in touch with the mystery and how to make it real in your life. Bethany is a supportive partner in your personal journey toward self-knowledge and well-being who can lovingly lead you out of the storm, as well.”

- Karen, Poland, Ohio

Rest in the Spirit

Individuals who come to retreat are welcome to craft their own retreat experience. A self-directed retreat can be as simple or as complex as you wish. Sometimes, it can be as effortless as withdrawing to a place of privacy where you can rest your soul or spend some quiet time in nature.

During a Directed Retreat you may meet with me for a 50-minute session for as many times as you would like during your retreat. This private session allows you to explore whatever is on your heart or anything that you might be noticing during the course of your retreat.
